Velneshwar beach tucked away between two hillocks definitely is the primary attraction of Velneshwar. A small cove with a stretch of soft white sand beach laced with lush green coconut trees, Velneshwar is just about emerging as a Konkan destination.
Velneshwar Shiva Temple which is flocked by hundreds of devotees especially during the Maha - Shivratri festival is located under a minutes walk from Atithi Beach Resort. The temple and the beach are the main attraction of this small hamlet.
Hedvi the immedeate neighbour of Velneshwar is famous for two things - Dashabhuja Ganapati temple and 'Bahman Ghal'. Dashabhuja Ganpati temple or the Laxmi Ganesh Temple is not only ancient but also rare. The idol of the diety is depicted to have 10 hands at this temple.
Brahmanghal is a rare natural phenomenon where continous gradation of the rocks by the sea has created a gorge in the black rock patch about 20 feet deep and 2 feet wide. The sea water gushes in and a water column rises through this gorge above the rocks near the black sand beach of Hedvi.
Velneshwar is an ideal place to stay to explore this region of Konkan. Velneshwar is flanked by Guhagar to its north and Ganpatipule to its south across the Jaigad creek.
